Weight is only a starting point
Two headlamps with similar listed weight can feel different. The position of the lamp and battery, contact area and strap adjustment all affect how the product sits. Compare the complete supplied configuration, including batteries, rather than an empty housing.

Try the movements that matter
Look down, turn your head and bend to pick up equipment. Check whether the beam stays aimed and whether the strap needs repeated tightening. If glasses or a cap are normally worn, include them in the trial. Do not assume that an ordinary headband is approved for a safety helmet.
Check the controls while wearing it
Can the user find the switch without removing the lamp? Does adjusting the angle require excessive force? Check that a cable or rear battery box does not catch on clothing during normal movement.

Record feedback consistently
Ask several intended users to describe fit, pressure and adjustment separately. Note their equipment and trial duration. For a bulk order, agree on the headband construction and battery layout shown in the approved sample so later changes can be identified.
